After a year hiatus from NV, and much activity on other photo sites, I'm back with an observation: there isn't a lot of peer-to-peer "how did you do that?" information out there.
Too many sites are either snark pits for photo snobs and digital back-shooters, or they are so specialized you have to be deep into this or that software to even ask the question. So, I'm suggesting a new approach for those who want to take their photographs one step further with post processing.
If there is interest I'll start up and administer a Nation whose only function is post-processing each-one-teach-one and answering that question of 'how?'
Each week or so I'll post a before-after photo that answers the question "how did you do that?" and walk anyone who is interested through the steps from why the image was chosen up through the end result. I'll also suggest alternatives for any process, including links to any site I can find that can answer the questions I can't answer (and there will be many).
Any member of the proposed Nation can post and do the same, the only requirement is a willingness to answer questions and take the time to share your tips, techniques and experience.
I'm no post-processing genius, but I've spent a lot of time learning through trial and error. I'd like to share that, and learn from NV members who likely know more than I do. Is there any interest? Let me know ...
